Frank A. Trujillo has worked in the construction industry as a safety and risk professional for over 20 years. He has dedicated his career to improving construction industry safety and risk management performance through collaborative relationships with peer contractors, industry associations, industry regulators and lawmakers. He was instrumental in the creation of the Maryland Strategic Partnership for Excellence in Construction Safety (SPECS) program between the Maryland Department of Labor and Maryland chapters of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and the Virginia BUILT partnership program between the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry and ABC Virginia.
At Coakley & Williams Construction, Frank provides strategic leadership for all risk management efforts, which include: Health and Safety, Quality Control, Insurance, and Construction Technology departments.
Frank received a Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from East Carolina University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is also a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
He serves as the Chairperson of the National Safety Committee for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Board of Trustees for the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention, Executive Board Member of the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, Member of the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Committee, President of the Washington Metropolitan Construction Safety Association, and Chairperson of the Virginia BUILT Council.

Alex has worked in the construction industry since 2003 and has been involved in Safety since 2006.
He has worked on complex projects and has help Miller & Long Concrete build some of the most outstanding structures in the nation’s capital. His mission is to influence our workforce by educating and coaching them to make right decisions on the job. He also believes in growing our Safety Community. He has been a member of WMACSA since 2009 and has been part of the planning committee of the Metropolitan Area Construction Safety Conference (MACSC). He has also involve in the MOSH Strategic Partnership Program (SPECS) and serve as STEP Task Force Chair at the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Metro Chapter. Our goal is to mentor peer contractors in their pursuit of safety excellence.

Bruce is a principal with K & A First Aid and Safety providing safety consulting and emergency preparedness services for many industries. He has been the president of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP), the Chair of the AIHA Local Section Council, and the Deputy RVP of ASSP Region VI at the national and regional levels. He is the Vice President on the NOVA-ASSP Board and an officer locally in biosafety, construction safety, hazardous materials management, and industrial hygiene.
Bruce holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and has over 40 years of industrial experience. He has worked in the federal government and for chemical, textile, and biotechnology companies, including DuPont, Hoechst Celanese, and Life Technologies. Mr. Donato is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Ergonomics Compliance Director (CECD), Emergency Responder Instructor, and Instructor Trainer for the American Heart Association, and the American Safety Institute. He is also a Zenger-Miller Instructor and trained facilitator. In addition to his safety experience, Mr. Donato has held positions as a design engineer, plant supervisor, research engineer, distribution manager, laboratory supervisor, and facilities manager.

Ryan works as a Safety Manager for the Arlington, Virginia based multi-family general contractor CBG Building Company. His personal passion for safety comes from a first hand experience of an accident involving a family member in the workplace. He is proud to work alongside the best safety professionals in the construction industry who help to implement best-in-class policies to make the industry safer for construction workers across the region.
Ryan has been a member of WMACSA since 2020 and was elected to the board of directors in 2023. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Safety Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a BCSP Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) designation, IHMM Associate Safety and Health Professional (ASHM) designation, IHMM Certified Safety Management Practitioner (CSMP) designation, and a Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT) designation.
