Information
Join us for our Heat Illness Prevention Panel!
Heat illness prevention awareness has been increasing in the construction industry for the last decade and is poised to be the preeminent safety issue of 2024. Local and federal regulators are focused on establishing regulations that will protect workers and guide employers toward practices with the best outcomes. The regulatory process is slow-moving and can produce confusing results. Contractors will need to prepare their Heat Injury Prevention Plans in advance of any impending regulatory changes to be ready for a hot summer.
Our panelists will discuss real world applications of Heat Illness Prevention principles, including:
-
Establishing your Heat Illness Prevention Plan
-
Education of the workforce on the hazards associated with heat
-
Best practices for exposure monitoring, PPE selection, hydration availability, acclimatization, etc.
-
Resource utilization
Upon registering, you will be emailed a confirmation with a QR code ticket. This can be accessed under the "My e-ticket" button on your confirmation email. Please have this ticket available in paper or digitally on the day of the meeting.
